Department Highlights
- Incoming freshmen are placed into a mathematics course based on their performance on the NWEA placement test. Regardless of their placement, all students are required to enroll in a math course in each of the four academic years.
- Students have the capability of completing six math courses within four years
- Students utilize additional math support, that can be personalized based on annual assessments, provided through
- Partnerships with Khan Academy and the College Board
- The OLSH ALLI Program
- Tutoring in The OWL Center
- Online AP math courses are available for students who want to challenge themselves with courses not offered at OLSH.
- Young women at OLSH have received Women in Science awards and scholarships from Seton Hill University, recognizing their achievement in math and science.
