Seniors Victorious in PowderPuff Football Game

Senior and Junior girls faced off against each other in an intense and heated game, with nothing held back, in what’s become a popular OLSH tradition. Starting off strong, the Junior girls led the charge with a 7-0 score only a few seconds in, but the Seniors fired right back minutes later. As each quarter went on, the score was still close and each side challenged the referee’s calls so often, it basically became a way of life. In the 3rd quarter, the Juniors made a risky move for 3 points - and it paid off. Rattled but calm, the Senior girls quickly scored a touchdown not much later. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, it seemed that the Junior girls would take home the victory until a catch from the Seniors landed them 7 points, securing them a 4 point lead with only 31 seconds left in the game. Just as the Juniors almost regained their lead, an interception from Kaylee Fabiano '22 with 10 seconds left gave the final edge for the Seniors to win. Final score: 42 - 38. What a nail biter!

The evening was sponsored by Student Government. Mr. Molka and Mrs. RT served up food in the barn with parent volunteers, while Mr. Rodgers, Mr. Korzi, and Mr. Nagel officiated the game.
