Class of 2025: Supplemental Placement Tests

What: Class of 2025: Supplemental Placement Tests

Tuesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 17
Test Starting Times:
9:00 am
10:00 am
1:00 pm
2:00 pm

Incoming 9th graders are given the opportunity to test out of specific high school courses based on test performance in June. This is particularly helpful if you are not sure where your child should be placed, or they are not confident in the courses they have been assigned for the fall.

Please take note of the supplemental testing available (by course) listed below.

French 1 (to test into French 2)
Spanish 1 (to test into Spanish 2)
Algebra 1 (to test into Algebra 2 for Freshmen)
Geometry (to test out of the course and therefore not be required to take it at OLSH)

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please contact Mrs. Kelly Pontiere at [email protected] or (412) 424-4615 to schedule your testing time. Each test is allotted one hour.

Please note: Honors English is placed in students' schedules based upon performance on the placement test and is therefore not listed. Honors Biology placement requires the student to finish their 8th grade year with an A average in their science course, and also does not require a test.
