Seton Hall University (NJ) will award an automatic $8,000 ($2,000/yr. for four years) Catholic High School Achievement Award to students who attend Catholic high schools and meet other eligibility requirements. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a Catholic high school and have a minimum, unweighted GPA of 3.0 and an SAT score of at 1350 or better, or an ACT composite score of 29 or better. To learn more, click here .
 
The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education and a desire to contribute to society. The Horatio Alger National and State Scholarships will award college scholarships of $6,000 to $25,000 to high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree and who meet the selection criteria. The Elks National Foundation awards $2.44 million in college scholarships to a total of 500 high school seniors each year through its Most Valuable Student scholarship contest . Scholarships are awarded based on service, leadership, and financial need. Apply online here . Please note: To be eligible, the applicant is required to have a counselor complete an online counselor’s report. Through the online application, an applicant will enter his/her counselor’s email address to notify the counselor of the applicant’s request.

Founded in 1904, Assumption College (MA) stands today as one of the top New England Catholic colleges, combining a foundation of liberal arts and sciences with more than 40 majors across the life sciences, business, education and communications fields. Each year, Assumption College awards up to fifty $25,000 Light the Way scholarships, renewable all four years. Each year, through their National Scholarship Competition, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (CA) awards more than 28 scholarships, including eight full-tuition scholarships worth $31,500 each. Student interested in studying Fashion, Visual Arts, Graphics, Interior Design, Social Media and Entertainment are encouraged to apply. Click here for entry details and the most up-to-date information.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh has announced an innovative new grant program for students. The Art Grant rewards students for successfully completing course credits and progressing toward graduation. Students can earn grant funding for every 12 course credits earned while maintaining continuous enrollment status, regardless of their program of study. Did you know that students at Carlow University (http://www.carlow.edu/) can receive up to $80,000 in merit scholarships? Duquesne University is offering a 50% tuition scholarship for freshmen Education majors. This scholarship is renewable for four years, as long as the student remains an Education major. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year is an exciting leadership development and philanthropy program in which high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS. The candidates/teams who raise the most money at the end of the 7 week competition earn the title Student(s) of the Year as well as a $5,000 scholarship. Dr. Michael Grandillo, president of Madonna University (MI), is offering an automatic scholarship of $5,000 or more to any OLSH student who applies to Madonna. Madonna University, like OLSH, was founded by the Felician Sisters and is rooted in the Catholic Felician Franciscan tradition. The university offers over 100 career-focused undergraduate majors, as well as 30 graduate-level programs. Students should mention the scholarship offer from Dr. Grandillo when applying. McDaniels College (MD) will award $25,000 per year Educator’s Legacy Scholarships to children of K-12 educators with four or more years of current and consecutive full-time employment. Eligible positions in education include teachers, counselors, nurses, support staff, custodians, administrators, etc. Verification of employment will be expected in order to show eligibility. McDaniel College is recognized nationally among 40 “Colleges that Change Lives” and is ranked among Money Magazine’s 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges. Mount Aloysius College (PA) will award 30 recipients of the Mercy Presidential Scholarships $48,000 over a four-year period. Candidates must demonstrate a solid academic record; a commitment to home, school and community; leadership abilities and involvement in extra-curricular activities and community service projects. The Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing offers full tuition scholarships to their 21-month RN program, based on pre-entrance exam scores.
