OLSH Awards Scholarships for the 2026-2027 School Year

This spring, OLSH awarded over $160,000 in new scholarships to students in the Classes of 2030, 2029, 2028, and 2027. In total, 117 new and renewable scholarships were awarded for the 2026-2027 school year, totaling just over $413,000.

 

Maggie Kline ‘27 was awarded the Susan Fahey Memorial Scholarship, which was established in memory of beloved OLSH Spanish teacher, Miss Susan Fahey, who passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The scholarship is awarded annually to an OLSH junior who is planning to take an upper-level language course in his/her senior year.

 

Jordan Jones ‘27 was selected to receive the John A. Mihaloew Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to an OLSH student entering his or her senior year of study, who demonstrates creativity and “out of the box thinking,” and who has made a significant impact at OLSH and/or in the community.

 

Molly Gauntner ‘28 and Jude Leddy ‘28 received the Felician Services Inc.-funded Blessed Angela Scholarship, which is awarded to two rising juniors who have been selected as a Student of the Month at some point in the school year, and who exemplify the Felician Core Values.

 

Zachary Blinn ‘29 was awarded the Poleski Family Endowed Scholarship. This full-tuition, renewable scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates a love of learning as well as a propensity for helping people, and who exudes empathetic concern for others.

 

Alexander Krupp ‘29 was selected to receive the Collier Family Incentive Scholarship, a renewable scholarship awarded to a student who demonstrates a love of learning as well as a propensity for helping people, and who exudes empathetic concern for others. This scholarship winner is chosen from among the remaining applicants to the Poleski Family Scholarship.

 

Perry Gatch ‘29 and Hunter Smith ‘29 were each selected to receive the Annie ‘10 and Luke ‘11 Collier Pay It Forward Scholarships, which were established in honor of the Collier children who graduated from OLSH. These scholarships are awarded from the pool of applicants for the Poleski Scholarship.

 

Eliana Cornetti ‘29 and TJ Mars ‘29 were this year’s recipients of the Sr. Mary David Krasowski ‘38 Endowed Scholarship, an annual scholarship awarded to rising OLSH sophomores who demonstrate a level of understanding and appreciation of the Felician Core Values that sets him/her apart from their peers, and the ability to articulate the importance of those values in living a life of exceptional Christian leadership, stewardship, and service to all.

 

The St. John Henry Newman Academic Merit Scholarship is a four-year renewable merit scholarship reserved for those who have a deep intellectual curiosity, are committed to excellence in their academic work, and will undertake the most rigorous academic programs at OLSH. These students have demonstrated academic and leadership potential at the elementary/middle school level, and were selected by a committee that reviewed their academic records, placement test scores, and middle school faculty recommendations. This year, ten students were selected to receive this scholarship:

  • Kelly O’Keefe ‘30, Ave Maria Academy
  • Heidi Surlow ‘30, Archangel Gabriel School
  • Natalie Zottola ‘30, Archangel Gabriel School

 

The OLSH Merit Scholarship is awarded to the rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students whose academic performance during that school year placed them among the top ten in their class. The following will receive this scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year:

Aaron Green ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School), Xavier Hess ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School), Allison Jula ‘30 (Guardian Angel Academy), Alexa Laepple ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School), Caiden Price ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School), Avery Sinicrope ‘30 (Guardian Angel Academy), Parker Thomas ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School), and Lucas Wertelet ‘30 (Archangel Gabriel School) were each awarded an OLSH Merit Scholarship in recognition of their high academic achievement throughout middle school and performance on the OLSH placement test.

 

Rebekah Mutschler ‘30 from St. Monica Catholic Academy was awarded the William J. Wolf Endowed Scholarship, which was established in memory of OLSH benefactor William J. Wolf. It is awarded annually to a Catholic young woman who possesses exceptional academic ability and is enrolled at a Catholic elementary school.

 

Jacob Walsh ‘30 from Archangel Gabriel School is the recipient of the Sr. Mary Christopher Moore ‘63 Endowed Scholarship, awarded to an incoming freshman who demonstrates a sincere desire to be known, transformed, and inspired as a student at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School. Jacob was also selected to receive the St. Felix Scholarship, which is awarded annually to an incoming freshman boy who displays academic achievement, exemplifies a life of true Christian presence, and a commitment of service to parish and community.

 

Edward Nagel ‘30 from Archangel Gabriel School received the Sr. Mary Pulcheria Saukaitis ‘39 Endowed Scholarship, which was established in honor of Sr. Mary Pulcheria Saukaitis, former OLSH teacher and principal. It is awarded annually to an incoming freshman student who shows an enthusiasm for learning, especially in STEM subject areas. Eddie was also awarded the Sister Mary Denise Bernas ‘61 Scholarship, which is given annually to a well-rounded incoming freshman boy who manifests good character and judgment through a spirit of volunteerism in his school, parish, or community. 

 

Maximillian Fredericks ‘30 from Our Lady of Fatima School and Allison Jula ‘30 from Guardian Angel Academy were awarded the St. Francis and St. Clare Scholarships, which are given to a well-rounded, motivated incoming freshman boy and girl who display academic achievement, demonstrate leadership potential, exemplify a life of true Christian presence, and are involved in extracurricular activities and community service.

 

Serenity Harris ‘30 from Guardian Angel Academy was awarded the Michael McNally ’07 Endowed Scholarship, which is given to a student who has experienced a life-changing personal or family challenge or hardship and has demonstrated perseverance and courage to overcome and/or an acceptance of their circumstances with faith, hope, and love.

 

Jude Franc ‘30 from Guardian Angel Academy was awarded the Tavon Lane ‘25 Memorial Scholarship, which was established in memory of OLSH student Tavon Lane. It is awarded annually to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated an altruistic nature during his/her middle school years, with motivation to bring about kindness and positivity in his/her class while attending OLSH.
