Students from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School were recognized in this year’s Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7–12.
Congratulations to seniors Brady Hernandez, Hailie Miller, and Sophia Muoio for their achievements in the Scholastic Art Awards. Brady earned an Honorable Mention, Hailie received a Silver Key, and Sophia was awarded both a Gold Key and Silver Key for her work.
Each year, the competition recognizes outstanding student artists across a wide range of visual art categories. Submissions are judged through a blind adjudication process based on originality, technical skill, and personal voice or vision. Gold Key works advance to national judging.
Student artwork selected for regional recognition was exhibited at Carnegie Mellon University College of Fine Arts, celebrating the creativity and talent of young artists from across the Pittsburgh region.
OLSH congratulates Brady, Hailie, and Sophia on this outstanding accomplishment and on representing the school so well in this highly competitive program.
