Molly Gauntner ’28 Named 2026 Carson Scholar

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School is proud to announce that Molly Gauntner ’28 has been selected as a 2026 Carson Scholar, an honor recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and a strong commitment to service.

Selected from an exceptionally competitive national applicant pool, Molly was chosen as part of the largest cohort of Carson Scholars in the program’s 30-year history. The Carson Scholars Fund recognizes students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to serving others — qualities Molly has demonstrated through her work both in and outside the classroom.

As a Carson Scholar, Molly will receive a $1,000 college scholarship, which will be invested on her behalf and continue to grow until she enrolls in college. She will also receive a Carson Scholars Fund medal and certificate in recognition of her achievement.

The scholarship was made possible through the support of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Carson Scholars Fund, which is committed to promoting the transformative power of education and service to others.

Molly joins fellow OLSH Carson Scholars Elianna Cornetti ’29, Sadie Karashin ’28, Katelyn Miller ’26, Abigail Robinson ’26, Brayden Douglas ’26, and Mark Laderer ’26, continuing a proud tradition of Chargers recognized by the Carson Scholars Fund.

The OLSH community congratulates Molly on this outstanding accomplishment and celebrates the hard work and dedication that led to this well-deserved recognition.
