Mock Trial Team Posts Two Wins In Strong Season

The OLSH Mock Trial team celebrated a successful season, earning two impressive wins in recent competition and continuing to build a strong tradition within the program.

Mock Trial gives students the opportunity to step inside the courtroom and experience how the legal system truly works. Through a simulated court case, students take on the roles of attorneys and witnesses, preparing opening and closing statements, conducting direct and cross examinations, and analyzing evidence. Students then present their case to a judge and jury, made up of local lawyers. The experience challenges students to think quickly, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively as a team.

This year, more than 30 OLSH students participated in Mock Trial. Throughout the season, they dedicated countless hours to preparing their case, refining their arguments, and strengthening their courtroom presence. In the process, they developed valuable skills in public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and evidence analysis — skills that will serve them well far beyond the competition.

Several students were recognized for their outstanding individual performances:

Best Advocate
Oliver Tomsic ‘26
Jack Turina ‘27
Milan Brough '27
Anna Stickman ‘27

Best Witness
Abigail Robinson ‘26
Sophia Muoio ‘26
Addy Batts ‘28

We are proud of the entire team for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations on a successful season!
