OLSH Community Comes Together for Annual Love Walk for the Poor

The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School community once again lived out its mission of faith and service at this year’s Love Walk for the Poor, a cherished tradition that has united students and families in compassion for decades. Founded by Sister Louise Marie Olsofka, the annual walk serves as a powerful reminder of the call to stand in solidarity with those most in need while supporting two meaningful local organizations: Choices Pregnancy Services and Our Lady’s Food Pantry.

This year’s walk brought together students, faculty, and community members who participated through prayer, fellowship, and donation. Participants carried and collected essential items, including baby supplies for Choices Pregnancy Services and non-perishable food items for Our Lady’s Food Pantry.

Felician Sisters from the OLSH Convent were also in attendance, including Sr. M. Lee Przybylski, Sr. Melanie Marie Bajorek, and Sr. M. Faith Balawejder. Joining them were Felician Associates and Associate Inquirers. Felician Associates are women and men from many backgrounds, occupations, and life experiences who commit to living the Felician mission, partnering with the Felician Sisters, and carrying the Felician charism into the world.

Through the generosity of participants and supporters, a total of $780 was raised.

The Love Walk for the Poor remains more than an event — it is an opportunity for the OLSH family to put faith into action. Through service and generosity, students are reminded of the importance of caring for others and making a tangible difference within their community.

Thank you to all who participated, donated, and supported this year’s Love Walk for the Poor. Your compassion and commitment continue to make a lasting impact.
