OLSH Class of 2029 Welcomed to the OLSH Family

The Class of 2029 was officially welcomed into the OLSH family this week! Comprised of 78 students, with an even 50/50 split of male and female students, this dynamic group represents 20 different school districts. Eleven are legacy students, following in the footsteps of their parents who graduated from OLSH, while 60% are the first in their family to join our community.

The week began on Sunday with Freshman Foundations Day and New Parent Orientation, giving students and their families a chance to get to know one another, explore the school, and start building meaningful connections. At the Matriculation Ceremony & Mass, freshmen were honored with a medal of Blessed Mary Angela, the foundress of the Felician Sisters, marking the spiritual beginning of their OLSH journey.

Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated freshman-only days, allowing students to bond as a class, deepen their faith during the class retreat, and become familiar with their teachers, schedules, and new learning environment.

On Thursday, the entire school gathered to celebrate the first official day of the 2025–2026 school year. During Mass, new OLSH Principal Mr. Dave Thomas received a special blessing from Fr. Bill Dorner and was warmly welcomed into the OLSH community. It was a week full of connection, faith, and school spirit.

The Class of 2029 has already made an impression, and we look forward to seeing all the ways they will grow, contribute, and shine as Chargers in the years ahead!
