Seniors Participate in Mock Interviews with OLSH Staff

Throughout the week, seniors came to school dressed in business attire to participate in mock job interviews. After reporting to class, students were given the name of an OLSH staff member to report to. Upon arriving, they greeted their interviewers with a handshake and a smile, and sat down to talk for about 10-15 minutes.

Interviewers asked for each student’s background, inquiring about where they went to grade school and why they chose to attend OLSH, as well as some of their favorite memories or proudest accomplishments from their time here. Students were challenged to think of some of times that they had to multitask or face obstacles throughout their high school careers.

This annual project is a great way for students to gain real-world experience before graduating and moving on to college or the workforce. It also gives them the opportunity to speak with working professionals about their own job experience, as well as to gain insight into careers that they may be interested in themselves.
