Congratulations to OLSH senior Abby Wertz, who was selected as a member of Junior Achievement’s 18 Under Eighteen class of 2023. Abby will be formally recognized at an event at Acrisure Stadium on the evening of February 7. This year’s class features young men and women with diverse backgrounds , who act as advocates, entrepreneurs, and changemakers within our region.

Abby is an active member of the OLSH community, serving as Student Government President, running Cross Country and Track, and working with school leadership to launch initiatives such as the school lunch fund campaign. She attends grade school visits with the JA program throughout the school year to teach students in grades K-8 about financial literacy and business.

As a recipient of this honor, Abby was given the opportunity to take a leadership development course, Intern to VP®, with Moments of Focus founder and CEO, BeNeca Griffin. She also participated in a special media day to take headshots and record video content for JA social media channels, press releases, print and digital materials, and billboards in the Pittsburgh area.
