Our theatre students spent the weekend at Bloomsburg University, where they participated in the PHSSL (Pennsylvania High School Speech League) State Drama Festival. Under the direction of Ms. Dolores Manuel, the excited group left for Bloomsburg early on Friday morning. Each group was given one hour of tech rehearsal on Friday to adjust to the stage and practice the technical aspects of their shows before their performances on Saturday.

OLSH performed “We are the Sea” and “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” which the cast had previously performed on the school stage for the Fall Play.

The performances were met with great applause and resulted in several awards for OLSH.

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” won 3rd place, “We Are The Sea” was recognized as a state finalist, and Nick Ewanco ‘26, Leo Matthews ‘25, and Marin Reinhardt ’26 were recognized as members of the All-State cast!
