OLSH and Mooncrest Work Together

To celebrate the May 16 birthday of Blessed Mary Angela, two Felician-sponsored ministries came together to complete a community service project. On Thursday, May 20, twenty students from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School spent the day at Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs to assist with a thorough spring cleaning of the facility. Student volunteers completed tasks from dusting light fixtures and bookshelves to washing walls and windows. The group then moved outside to clean and organize the reading porch, pick up debris in the park, and weed the pollinator garden and raised beds. After enjoying a pizza lunch, the OLSH students were given a tutorial by the Mooncrest staff on how to make outdoor seating using an old tire and some string.  OLSH students provided much-needed support to the Mooncrest staff as they worked together to make the community center a safer and cleaner environment for all.
