FRESHMAN FOUNDATIONS DAY

Freshman Foundations Day for the Class of 2024 will take place THIS Sunday, August 23. This event begins at 10:00 a.m. and includes a variety of fun activities for the students. Please see the following for specifics about this event.
- ARRIVAL: Student drop-off will be at the Angela Activities Center, or AAC (OLSH's gym). Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. We ask that parents remain in their vehicles.
- ATTIRE: Attire for the day is casual. Students will be provided with an OLSH Spirit t-shirt to wear for the day. They will be asked to change into the shirt immediately at registration. Appropriate bottoms include shorts (not shorter than 2" above the knee), capris, or jeans.
- WHAT TO BRING: Students are asked to bring a lunch, a beach towel or blanket to sit on, a face mask or shield (which covers the nose and wraps under the chin), and a water bottle labeled clearly with their name. They are permitted to bring a small bag or drawstring sportpack in which to keep their personal items.
- WAIVER: ALL students participating in this day must bring a signed waiver to registration. Extras will be available should students forget their copy.
- LUNCH: Please be sure your child packs a healthy lunch for the day. Extra water for refilling water bottles will be provided. Lunch will take place outside on the lawn, weather permitting.
- ACTIVITIES: We have many helpful and informative (as well as fun!) activities planned for the students this Sunday, and have arranged for small groups consisting of less than 10 students for ease of movement and to ensure social distancing. Mask-wearing is expected by ALL participants throughout the day. Groups have been formed to allow for students to meet other students within their hybrid group (A-L, M-Z), to ease some first-day jitters!
- PICK-UP: Students can be picked up in the front of the AAC beginning at approximately 3:00 pm. We ask that parents please remain in their vehicles and follow the one-way arrows in the front parking lot of the gym.

The day will conclude with our annual Welcome Mass and Matriculation Ceremony at 2:15 pm in the AAC. Due to indoor gathering restrictions, Mass will be celebrated for students only and social distancing regulations will be in place.
