Dear Parents/Guardians of Freshmen and Sophomores,

This week, the freshmen and sophomores will learn about a summer retreat opportunity in Theology class, and we wanted to be sure that our parents/guardians also received the information we will share with your children.

For over 40 years, high school students have had life-changing experiences of faith and friendship with Jesus Christ at Steubenville Conferences. This coming summer over 54,000 teens will experience these moments of grace at 25 sites across the country.

These retreats sell out very quickly, however, OLSH has reserved space at the Steubenville, Main Campus Retreat #3 from June 29 – July 1, 2018. We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our students. 

We are encouraging our freshmen and sophomores to attend the retreat with us this summer to confirm their faith and grow in friendship with Christ, as they grow into mature young adults. In a world that often calls our teens away from faith, this conference offers them the chance to see that many of their peers are invested in their faith. It offers community and friendship in a holy, healthy environment. 

This year’s retreat theme is “Revealed”, based on 1 John 4:9 - In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. Dynamic speakers and high energy music will bring teens the message that in a world that tells them who they should be, or shouldn’t be, God offers them the opportunity to be who they truly are: children of a heavenly Father whose love is deeper than they can imagine.

The cost of the retreat is $210 per student, and partial scholarships are available if needed. The fee covers dormitory living, meals, transportation and the retreat cost. Transportation to and from Franciscan University of Steubenville will be provided.
