Today, we´ll continue discussing some health topics as well a practicing with gerunds through two activities.
First, we will do some calculations to figure out roughly how many calories we burn each day using the attached sheet (if you are not comfortable doing this, I will provide you with an alternative person that you may do the calculations for in class).

If you are online today, you ONLY need to submit the copy of the sheet where you calculated calories burned. The other activity will be done as a Peardeck.
If you are ABSENT, you will need to follow the steps in the attached document to calculate the calories burned (you may choose a celebrity to do the calculations for if you are not comfortable doing yourself, specify the person you are doing on the sheet). Turn the sheet in here. Then, you will need to do the activity in this Peardeck: https://app.peardeck.com/student/tmzxugeti
Skip ahead through the slides until you get to the ones with the activities in the gerund and enter your estimates for how many calories you think each activity burns.Once you are done, I will be able to see it, so no need to submit anything here, just complete the activity.

Because the final exam for Spanish is cumulative (meaning that it covers material from the entire year) and because we did not have a midterm exam, we are going to take some time to review some of the most important concepts from semester one.
I have attached here a modified version of what I usually give out as a Midterm Study Guide. We will review this in class together on Wednesday, 2/17. ALL STUDENTS, submit a digital copy or photos of a hard copy of the review guide ONLY by class time on that date.
This is also a good time to take stock and make sure you have all of the important notes you need. For your reference, I have also attached copies here of all of the notes you should have from semester 1. If you are missing any of these notes, you will need to redo them. Contact me if you have trouble with this.
I highly recommend that you have physical copies of all of your notes. If you do not have a printer at home, you can print them in the library at school or ask me to print things out for you. If you need to have digital notes, I recommend that you organize them by saving them to a Spanish Notes folder in your Google Drive so that you can find them easily without going back through old assignments in Classroom.

Today, we are going to review how to use adjectives and the verb tener to describe people.
Since I can´t be there to teach in person, I put the content in an Edpuzzle for you guys. You will need to sign up for Edpuzzle to do this. The video is about 16 minutes long. You need to watch the video and complete the notes sheet that says "Normas para adjetivos y tener." The other sheet, you do not need to fill anything out, it is just for you to have as a tool when writing descriptions, almost like a mini dictionary.
Link to Edpuzzle: https://edpuzzle.com/assignments/5f749a8bdbc55540c065dd16/watch
P.S. Sorry the typing sounds are super loud!
Please submit your notes here as evidence of your classwork. You can either take a photo of the hard copy of take them digitally and attach the document. There will also be questions along the way as you watch the video to check your understanding and a practice activity at the end. Please make sure you watch through to the end and answer the questions in order to get credit for this activity.
Unfortunately, you may not be able to do this during class time unless you have a device and headphones with you, so you will have the class time as a study hall and will need to do this at home. Lo siento, I could not get computers for you and did not have a better option other than just giving you guys busy work, which I did not want to do.
This is due by class time tomorrow. If you are having trouble completing it by then, just let me know.
Please reach out to me with any questions or issues. I am here to help. Just shoot me an email.
