Assignment

Hola Chicos,

A reminder that Monday and Tuesday next week, we will be having an Integrated Performance Assessment on that will cover our unit on school.

As we discussed in class, this assessment will include a reading activity, an interpersonal speaking activity with a partner, and a writing activity, all related to the topic of school schedules, classes, times, and preferences and opinions about classes.

To prepare, please review:
  • the activity we did in class today with speaking and asking questions about our school schedules (you will need to be able to have a conversation very similar to the ones we did today without having a piece of paper in front you). You do NOT need to memorize the times of your classes. I will give you the bell schedule to reference.
  • how to say school subjects, INCLUDING the article that goes with each subject and ALL of the classes that you have
  • how to give the time, mainly focusing on saying AT what time something is happening ("a la" for 1:00 times, "a las" for all other times)
  • how to express your opinion about your classes, including the reason for your opinion (HINT: using the connecting words we discussed to give more than one reason will really boost your proficiency and therefore your score)
If you have questions about something, I will be checking my e-mail throughout the weekend.

Study, stay warm, enjoy your weekend, and make sure you catch our football team tearing it up at Heinz on Saturday!
