World Geography Assignments

The final will be the morning of Thursday May 31st for World Geography. 8:05 in the AAC

There will be a test on  Monday the 21st. The Atlas project is also due no later than the 21st. I would like them early to grade and get back to you.

Friday - ROOTS Reception

 

After the Australia test we will focus on the final for World Geography. A study guide will be passed out to the students. 

Any papers you may beed to print are on the week of May 7th-11

Week of Feb. 12th -16th   Eastern Europe Project is due February 26th. DO NOT procrastinate, there could potentially be an Eastern Europe test on the same day!!! Work on the project daily and over the long 4 day weekend!!!!!!!!

 

Mr. DeVivo, Social Studies Department Chair has asked that all OLSH social studies students help him out with his mock Presidential Election. All students on Feb 12th will receive an election assignment to view 10 campaign web-sites and choose one candidate from each party. A copy of the assignment is below. Each video is about 1 minute long. I will give this assignment 15 homework points. Thank you for participating. It is due Thursday February 22nd

Students are allowed to get a study hall pass to use the textbooks in the classroom or they can get the information for the maps on-line

Monday 2nd- we will work on the 2 Canada maps in class the students received on 9/28/2017

Tuesday 3rd - vocabulary and Lesson 1 due

Wednesday 4th- 2 Canadian maps are due (map quiz on October 9th) Students will need to know locations of territories and provinces and their capitals

Week of September 25, 2017 - Chapter 4 deals with governments and economies around the world. There is a large amount of vocabulary. Please study nightly. Students were given the 1/2 day on Thursday Sept. 21 to begin vocabulary and lesson 1. It is always a good idea to work ahead on the homework questions.

Monday 11th- complete lesson 3 #27-36 only for chapter 2.  You each received your passwords Friday. We will draw the water cycle together in class

Tuesday 12th- study

Wednesday 13th- test chapter 2, I will pass out North America maps that are due Friday

Thursday 14th- start chapter 3 (very short chapter)

Friday 15th- North America map due and lesson 1 of chapter 3 if you did not finish in class. A quiz on this map will be Tuesday the 19th

 Week of September 4th

Monday - Labor Day

Tuesday - Test on Chapter 1

Wednesday- we will work on lesson 1 in class for chapter 2. I should have your textbook usernames and passwords this week

Thursday - What I did over the summer homework due; Work on chapter 2 in class

Friday - work on chapter 2  Power Point in class

 Week of August 28th. Today I gave you your first chapter homework questions with definitions.

Tuesday 29th - we will read lesson 1 in class and complete along with completing the 10 vocabulary words in your notebook.

Wednesday - Review answers to lesson 1 and the 10 vocabulary words and start lesson 2 questions

Thursday 8/31- Review Lesson 2 questions and review, continent and ocean maps due

If we do not finish chapter 1 by today we will have the test on Tuesday September 5th

Friday 9/1- Review for test on Tuesday September 5th. The test is on the Power Point notes we took in class, your in-class chapter questions to lesson 1 and 2, the 10 vocabulary words you wrote in your notebook, and know the 7 continents and 5 oceans
