OPAL was founded in 2025 by Jordan Jones who wanted to create a space for creators at OLSH. She spent time researching and planning, brainstorming, and dreaming, and published the first issue of the digital magazine on November 7, 2025. OPAL accepts submissions of photography, visual art, and creative writing (fiction & non-fiction) from students, faculty, and staff at OLSH. It is distributed via e-newsletter and social media and is posted to the OLSH website.
