OLSH AP Advantage Program

Gain an edge for college and career success.

The OLSH AP Advantage Program affords OLSH students distinct opportunities to take AP courses through a relationship with one of America's finest universities - the University of Notre Dame. This grant-funded program adds exceptional value to the OLSH educational experience.

The University of Notre Dame has adopted OLSH as the first school outside of the state of Indiana to participate in its AP Teacher Investment Program (AP-TIP). Through this program, OLSH teachers receive specialized training at an AP Summer Institute, support from teacher mentors, and numerous resources. Students have access to resources and the opportunity to take a scored practice exam.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Advanced Placement courses offered at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School are taught by high school faculty. Students scoring a 3, 4, or 5 on AP exams may receive recognition for their test scores from the colleges that students enter after graduation. For some colleges, the recognition is to allow students to skip entry-level courses and enroll in more advanced courses as freshmen. For others, college credits are awarded for the AP course taken in high school.
