MEET DOM '19

Grade School: Cornell
 
OLSH Activities: football, theatre, Student Ambassadors, recipient of the inaugural John A. Mihaloew Endowed Scholarship
 
Future Plans: Rochester Institute of Technology studying Game Design and Development
 
"At OLSH I have been given more opportunities than I would have been received anywhere else."

OLSH Activities: Cheerleading (Football & Basketball), Student Government, theatre, track & field, AP Scholar recognition
 
Favorite Class at OLSH: "French - because Mr. Miller is awesome! He has consistently been one of my favorite teachers all four years!"
 
Future Plans: Loyola University of Chicago studying Sociology
 
"My favorite thing about OLSH is the sense of community. Within each club or activity is a little family where everyone is loved and accepted, and it's really amazing to be a part of such tight-knit groups."

Favorite Class at OLSH: AP World History
 
Future Plans: Hopes to study physics
 
Favorite OLSH tradition: Senior Walk Through
 
"Theatre at OLSH is a close-knit family. Combined with the experience of performing at the Gene Kelly Awards, it's an activity that leaves a lasting impression." 

MEET FRANCESCA '20

Grade School: 
 
OLSH Activities: girls soccer, cross country, track, student government, National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, OLSH Writing & Learning Center Tutor, writing tutor
 
Favorite Class at OLSH: Honors PreCalculus sophomore Year because "I have always enjoyed math and Miss Madler always kept class interesting with cool packets for each chapter and exciting projects for us to try"
 
Future Plans: I hope to major in Pre-Medicine and possibly specialize in Pediatrics or Radiology. Not sure about colleges yet. I’m still looking! :)   
 
Favorite OLSH Tradition: Senior walk through and slideshow because it’s awesome to see how the senior class has grown since freshman year and be with them as they leave the school during the walk through. 
 
"What's unique about OLSH is that I have opportunity to play multiple sports and I love getting to know the girls on multiple teams!"

Future Plans: Penn State University (main campus) studying Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management
 
Favorite OLSH Tradition: coming soon! 
 
"I think OLSH is unique in the fact that you build personal relationships with the faculty. Throughout my time at OLSH I have made long lasting relationships with my teachers. I really believe they care about us as individuals and they go out of their way to be helpful beyond the classroom. It's something I'll always remember and appreciate about my high school experience."

Grade School: Quaker Valley
 
OLSH Activities: National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, football
 
Favorite Class at OLSH: AP Physics I because of the students in the class - "The majority of them were seniors, but they looked out for me and helped me when I needed it, and they were a lot of fun."
 
Future Plans: University of South Carolina studying Economics and Business Administration
 
Favorite OLSH Tradition: Football!  "Nothing beats Friday Night Lights!"
