Fair Trade

“The CRS Fair Trade Program creates opportunities to bring the core values of our faith to bear on the choices we make as consumers – choices that have the power to help build a more just economy. Through Catholic Relief Services Fair Trade coffee, chocolate and handcraft projects, you are supporting producers working their way to a better life. Our partners are providing economic opportunity for those living in poverty. The CRS Fair Trade Fund contributes to a fair and sustainable marketplace.”

OLSH will be hosting a number of CRS Fair Trade events this year beginning with the sale of Divine Chocolate Advent calendars in November. Throughout the 2013 holiday season, there will be a number of opportunities to support Fair Trade including a coffee tasting at College Financial Aid night, a November catalog sale and a holiday products sale in conjunction with the Christmas play and chorus concert. In addition, a Fair Trade show and sale featuring products made of recycled and/or sustainable materials will be combined with the annual Earth Day Campus Clean-up.
