Home Run for the Headlines
Chargers Baseball has been irresistible to the media recently. With players like Preston Falascino and Noah Shahen, Chargers Baseball has made its appearance online on the Champs Sports Network and Beaver County Times websites and in the print in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
At the end of March, Falascino was featured in an article on the Champs Sports Network website for his impressive accomplishments at the OLSH vs Avonworth game on March 28th. As the opening day starter, Falascino threw a no-hitter for the Chargers ending in a 7-0 win.
Even more recently, we saw Shahen's name on the Beaver County Times website when he went 8 for 12 with 8 RBIs and a grand slam, the week of April 16th.
Falascino's name appeared again, this time in black and white in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, after OLSH's victory against Serra Catholic. Dating back to May 2009, the Class A No. 1 Serra Catholic Eagles had won 27 consecutive games. Falascino had three hits and was the game's winning pitcher.
