Ways to Make a Gift

There are many different ways you can make a gift to OLSH. The following list includes ways to give to OLSH in addition to the various Funds and initiatives held throughout the year. We would certainly be happy to discuss other options if you have an idea of how you would like to support OLSH that is not listed.

Gifts of Stock and Appreciated Assets

There is a possibility of substantial tax advantages using this method, and in most cases is more beneficial than giving cash.

Amazon Smile

If you are an Amazon shopper, you can support OLSH while you shop by starting with Amazon Smile!  Just start your shopping here: smile.amazon.com/ch/25-1199029 and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible items you purchase to OLSH!

Gifts in Kind

Non-cash gifts of property such as computers, books, scientific equipment, art materials, etc. also make important gifts. The fair market value of such items is deductible for income tax purposes. A formal appraisal is required by the IRS for gifts in kind valued at over $5,000.00.
