OLSH

Guidance Department

The OLSH Guidance Department is available to assist all students with college and career planning, testing information, or personal counseling services. Numerous college catalogs, viewbooks, applications, and scholarship information packets are available to students to view or to lend to parents so that they may become better informed concerning the college selection process. In addition, the guidance area has two computers available for student use. Throughout the academic year, various College Admission Counselors visit OLSH to talk with juniors and seniors, providing our students with a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insight into the school(s) they may be considering.

The guidance counselor is here to service the students throughout their high school years so as to make the transition to their post high school years a smooth one. A counselor is supportive intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually in helping the students to realize their own potential for growth. Referrals to outside agencies may also be an option in particular situations.
